New Haven Country Club was founded in 1898 as one of the very early golf courses built in the United States.  The course was designed by Willie Park, Jr., two-time winner of the British Open and architect of over 150 courses.  New Haven Country Club is particularly notable in that history because Willie Park personally supervised the construction of our famously rolling and difficult greens.

This rich and storied golf tradition is the foundation on which New Haven Country Club has grown and prospered over the years.  It has led us to one of the most beautiful historic clubhouses in the nation and has attracted a membership of the most highly regarded business and community leaders in the region.
