Guest Information

We look forward to having you as a guest at NHCC!

Whether you are attending a golf outing, business meeting, special event, or a guest enjoying the pool or restaurant, the below information should help you to feel right at home while visiting the Club.

Getting To Us
Our address is 160 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, CT. In some instances, certain GPS guidance systems bring guests to our Maintenance Facility down the street. Please note that the main entrance to the Club is directly across from Killdeer Road, and has 2 brick pillars at the top of the driveway with New Haven Country Club on them.

Parking Lot/Clubhouse Entry
You are able to park anywhere in our parking lot upon arrival. We do have bag drop capabilities if you are golfing as a guest and would like to utilize that option. When walking to the front of the Clubhouse from the parking lot, the first set of doors off of the large porch will bring you to the Men's Locker Room, second set of doors into our Grille Room, third door to the Ladies Locker Room, and 4th door to our Lobby/Main Dining Room areas.

•For men, shirts with a collar are required and must be tucked in; for women, shirts must have either a collar or sleeves.

      Pace of Play
•The overarching message to the membership is that pace of play is every golfer’s responsibility.
•Although New Haven Country Club does not have official tee times, each group that plays has an official starting time. This is the time that the first player in the group begins play. The required interval between matches from the 1st tee is 10 minutes.
•The Golf Professional Staff will note the starting time of each group that begins play. Each group’s starting time, as well as turn and finish time will be noted by the staff to ensure the group’s pace on the course. We hope that each group’s awareness of starting, turn and finish times will assist in keeping proper pace on the course.
•Groups must keep up with the group ahead and play at a 2-hour pace or less per 9-holes and a 4-hour pace or less per 18-holes. It is all player’s responsibility to ensure this Pace of Play is maintained.
•If a group loses their place on the golf course, a member of the golf professional staff will make them aware of the situation and will assist the group in regaining pace and position. In the case a group loses their place on the course for a second time during the round, the group will be asked to suspend play at that time and move forward to the correct position. The golf professional staff will assist as much as possible if a group loses their place.
•New Haven Country Club employs TagMarshal technology to monitor pace of play. One member of each foursome will have a TagMarshal device placed on their golf bag or in their golf cart.
